If you need music, books, art, videos, and cool items to check out this month. Well you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to curate a list of stuff to keep you going all month, until my next post. If you find anything you like, leave a comment or share this post with a friend. But first…

Music
Playlist for all the music I found this month - Yes I am a Teezo Touchdown fan
My ass shook without my permission
Jersey music will never stop hitting. Need this at a club more than I need air to breathe. Womene of color make everything better. Like I am gay when I hear this. Like I’m sorry what man, I’m one of the girls when this comes on.
His head is a fish
If the album cover doesn’t make you click on this, then I don’t know how you ended up on this newsletter. It’s so dynamic and invigorating. It’s a perfect blend of what could be 2 different great songs, but together they make something amazing.
Blacks Only
This song just makes me feel good. It immediately transports me back to all the dinner parties my parents would host and the moments I fell even more in love with R&B and soul music. Jill Scott just has music that makes me feel like I’m surrounded by an amber colored aura.
For my Pretty Sound Girlies
You want soft sounds as you lay outside in the grass and enjoy the sky? Then listen to this and feel your soul drift away on a cloud…
Books
Network Effect, the 5th book in the murderbot series, by Martha Wells was exactly what I hoped it would be after my nearly month long wait for the library ebook to become available. I fell even more in love with the characters and world Martha is developing. I finished this book in one sitting and immediately started the next book.
This is the next book. Fugitive Telemetry is the 6th book in the murderbot series written by Martha Wells. After this book I have to say she is my favorite author. She just has not missed this entire series and I am in awe. Again, amazing character development, a plot developlment that I was very excited to see, and jokes that made me laugh out loud. I cannot recommend the murderbot diaries enough. Please read them.
I’ve been sticking with my goal of reading more books that have been translated and I was in for a treat with Counterweight by Djuna. This book was a wild ride that had a pretty eye opening commentary on South Korea’s neocolonial ambition and its rippling effects. Plus the main character is gay, so you know I had to suggest this.
Art
Such an amazing shot of this statue. Literally stared at this for 10 minutes when I saw it. Felt it touch something deep in my soul, I might be religious now.
All I can say is, Marvel could never make something this gorgeous. If you want to see more art like this checkout the Out Front Theatre in Atlanta.
Videos
Yes it is technically music, great music at that, but this music video is absolutely fantastic so it deserved it’s own spot on the newsletter! It’s giving Power Rangers, it’s giving Kaiju movie. Fantastic message, singing, set design, choreography.
Vox Atlas really outdid themselves with this video, as it explains the political background that allowed Xi Jinping to become the leader of China and also how similar his political views align with Mao. I think it also provided good commentary in showing how Xi Jinping has also done good for China, so the video came off as more objective, like a telling of facts rather than straight propoganda.
Items
Yes all 3 items are the same item this month. I originally had a whole list of items in this section, but then I saw this pre-BMW mini cooper and knew this was the only item I could post. This is THEE car of my dreams, I will own and rebuild one before I leave this earth.
Thanks for reading the fouurth post of Elliot’s Queue. If you found something you like, forward this to a friend and consider subscribing to my newsletter. Let’s get more people added to the queue!
